Power Electronics Engineer

We are looking for a senior electrical engineer with excellent knowledge and experience in power electronics. Your role will be to participate in the design of electronic circuits and systems. You will be involved in various stages of projects such as ideation, drafting specifications, defining architecture and technological choices, design, production support, certification, and much more. As a senior engineer, you will also be called upon to engage with clients to fully understand their needs.

You will work closely with your colleagues, including engineers, technicians, and programmers, with the common goal of efficiently realizing projects and delivering reliable, secure, and high-performance products. You will be required to conduct training sessions in areas of your expertise and participate in multiple design reviews.

Your responsibilities include:

— Analyzing needs and defining client requirements.

— Designing architectures, circuits, and electronic systems, including their control algorithms.

— Overseeing the design of printed circuits.

— Participating in design reviews.

— Preparing and maintaining design and production documentation.

— Identifying causes of problems and implementing resulting action plans.

Your qualifications:

— Degree in electrical engineering, member of the engineering association, with 8 to 12 years of relevant experience.

— Experience in the design of power electronic circuits and systems for industrial, railway, aerospace, and electric vehicle environments, requiring a high level of reliability and safety compliance with various standards.

— Experience with software-controlled power supplies and inverters.

— Professional, committed, and the ability to adapt to different environments.

— Interest or experience with the Agile methodology is an asset.

— Excellent communicator (both spoken and written).

This is a full-time permanent position of 40 hours per week or a reduced schedule based on your needs, offering social benefits, a competitive salary, and flexible working hours. The workplace is in the city of Terrebonne, with the option for telecommuting.
